Contests

A little contest or challenge is always exciting! And it's also a good source of motivation for some kids.

We're not running any contests at the moment, but here are a few examples of past contests (now closed) from recent years.

We encourage you to follow us on social media and subscribe to our email list so that you don't miss future contests and other opportunities!

For educators

  • Exploring Earth

Schools that explored Earth through David Saint-Jacques' photos from space could win a video call with him while he was aboard the International Space Station (ISS). A Prince Edward Island school won this contest.

For youth

  • Little Inventors

Children were challenged to come up with ingenious ideas to make life in space easier and more fun. The top inventions were turned into prototypes by expert makers and artisans. Two even made an appearance in space!

  • Wanted: Creative Writers

Canadians (both children and adults) were invited to write an out-of-this-world bedtime story. A selection of submissions were published on the Canadian Space Agency's website and read by David Saint-Jacques aboard the ISS!
