David Saint-Jacques is getting ready to leave the International Space Station.
After spending 204 days in space, it is now time to say goodbye!
The Soyuz is undocked from the Space Station. The trip to Kazakhstan will last about three and a half hours.
At 9:55 p.m., the deorbit burn.
Meanwhile, the recovery team is ready to welcome the astronauts.
At 10 km from the ground, parachutes deploy to slow the capsule.
The last stages of the descent are very physically demanding.
At 10:47 p.m., the Soyuz touches the ground.
The recovery team opens the hatch.
