The infographic features a map of Canada with the latest data, as of September 30, 2016, on the Canadian Space Agency's astronaut recruitment campaign.
On each province and territory, there is a circle containing the number of candidates who reached the cut-off score on the public service entrance exam, and the percentage of the total number of candidates who reached the cut-off score.
Here are the statistics in detail.
- Yukon: 3 people; 0.2%
- Northwest Territories: 4 people; 0.2%
- Nunavut: 1 person; 0.1%
- British Columbia: 172 people; 10.1%
- Alberta: 251 people; 14.7%
- Saskatchewan: 38 people; 2.2%
- Manitoba: 31 people; 1.8%
- Ontario: 589 people; 34.5%
- Quebec: 343 people; 20.1%
- New Brunswick: 16 people; 0.9%

183 candidates outside Canada also reached the cut-off score, which is 10.7% of the total number of 1,706.
Of the candidates who reached the cut-off score, 68.6% are men and 25.3% are women. The other 6% did not declare their sex, which is subject to voluntary disclosure.
