Robotic handshake in space

April 28, 2001, is a milestone in Canadian space history with the first ever robot-to-robot transfer in space. From the aft flight deck of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, Canadian Space Agency Astronaut and STS-100 mission specialist Chris Hadfield executed the exchange of a palette from the robotic arm on the International Space Station, Canadarm2, to the arm of the Space Shuttle, Canadarm.
