Giraffe Meets Van Gogh in Fundy Bay, New Brunswick

2021-06-23 - This Landsat 8 satellite image, reminiscent of Van Gogh's Starry Night, is of the famous Bay of Fundy, located off New Brunswick’s southern coast (bottom of picture). The Bay is renowned for the highest tides on Earth, with a range averaging more than 15 metres. 

We challenged 13 organizations from across the country to create stunning satellite images that showcase the natural beauty of a region in each of Canada's territories and provinces — not a typical order for companies used to treating satellite data for scientific or commercial use.
