CSA astronaut David Saint-Jacques trains at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC)
2017-07-24 - From July 24 to 28, David Saint-Jacques received training in the Columbus simulator at the EAC.
While all crew members get training on every part of the ISS, during which they learn how to use scientific equipment and respond in case of emergencies, at least one person is trained to "specialist" level for each ISS module. For his crew, David will be specialist for ESA’s Columbus laboratory. That means he'll be able to perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs as needed. (Credit: ESA)
