2015-06-02 - The high-gain antenna of the ExoMars 2016 Trace Gas Orbiter, pictured during a deployment test at the premises of Thales Alenia Space in Cannes, France.
The antenna, with its steerable 2.2 m-diameter dish, is used for communication with Earth, to transmit data and to receive commands. The Canadian space company MDA provided a subsystem of the antenna thanks to a cooperation agreement between Canada and the European Space Agency. (Credit: ESA – B. Bethge)
