Dextre Deployable Vision System (DDVS) Announcement
2016-01-07 - On January 7, 2016, the Honourable Navdeep Bains (middle), Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), announced that a new vision system will be designed by Neptec Design Group and used on Dextre, the International Space Station’s (ISS’s) robotic helper. Alongside Jeremy Hansen (left), CSA astronaut, and Greg Fergus (right), Parliamentary Secretary, he explained to journalists that the system will support the inspection and maintenance of the ISS.
