Cavenauts dive into training

2013-09-17 - From September 16 to 27, 2013, CSA astronaut Jeremy Hansen takes part in the European Space Agency’s CAVES 2013 training expedition. CAVES (or Cooperative Adventure for Valuing and Exercising human behaviour and performance Skills) is an opportunity for astronauts/cavenauts (from left to right) Paolo Naspoli (ESA), Aleksei Ovchinin (Russia), Jeremy Hansen (CSA), Jack Fischer (NASA), Mike Barratt (NASA) and Satoshi Fukurawa (JAXA) to get advanced experience on Earth in some of the situations they'll face during the extremes of a long-duration space mission.
