Kounotori2 drifts away from the International Space Station

2011-03-28 - In this fish-eye lens view, the Kounotori2, Japanese for “white stork,” drifts away from the International Space Station (ISS) after being released by Canadarm2. It carries with it three paper cranes created by ISS crew members who wished to show their support for the people of Japan. Kounotori2 burned up safely in the Earth’s atmosphere about two days later.
