Canadarm2's 50th cosmic catch: Northrop Grumman's Cygnus cargo ship

Canadarm2 holds Cygnus. We see clouds in the background.

Controlled by NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick, Canadarm2 performed its 50th cosmic catch of an uncrewed cargo spacecraft for Northrop Grumman's 21st resupply mission.

Canadarm2 was not initially designed to perform cosmic catches, but started carrying out this complex manoeuvre back in 2009. While all crewed vehicles autonomously dock to the ISS, some uncrewed cargo ships are captured and berthed to the ISS to deliver essential supplies, hardware, and resources for the crew.
