Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (C/2023 A3)

This image of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (C/2023 A3) was taken by the Canadian space telescope NEOSSat on October 23, 2024. It consists of seventeen raw images, which were stacked to create the final processed image.

The comet had reached its closest point to Earth on October 12 and was visible in the evening skies of the Northern Hemisphere until October 30, 2024. (Credit: Canadian Space Agency)
