2009-10-30 - A close-up view of the unpiloted Japanese H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) shortly after release from the International Space Station. The HTV was unberthed from the Harmony node and taken a safe distance by the Canadarm2 to be sent into the Earth’s orbit for a safe burn-up. Canadarm2 was operated by Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Robert Thirsk in cooperation with NASA Astronaut Nicole Stott and European Space Agency Astronaut Frank De Winne. (Credit: NASA)
