Antimicrobial Applicator
2009-10-10 - Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Robert Thirsk displays an Antimicrobial Applicator (AmiA) which he removed from the Kibo laboratory’s Internal Thermal Control System (ITCS) of the International Space Station. The AmiA was used to release ortho-phthalaldehyde, an anti-microbial agent, into the Kibo’s ITCS coolant. Bob also took a coolant sample for ground analysis. (Credit: NASA)
