The Moon, captured by Orion during the Artemis I mission

2022-11-21 – On the sixth day of the Artemis I mission, Orion’s optical navigation camera took this black-and-white photo of the Moon. 

The optical navigation camera captures photos of Earth and the Moon to test effectiveness under different lighting conditions to help orient the spacecraft for future missions.  (Credit: NASA)
