A Painter's Palette at the Edge of the Earth

2021-06-23 - The Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site, Newfoundland and Labrador, creates a unique experience of travelling to the edge of the Earth to a far and ancient land. A painter's palette of intense vivid colours can be seen from space illustrating a rugged coastline, coniferous forests and pristine coastal wetlands. 

We challenged 13 organizations from across the country to create stunning satellite images that showcase the natural beauty of a region in each of Canada's territories and provinces — not a typical order for companies used to treating satellite data for scientific or commercial use.
