Honorary Doctor

On July 8, 2009, Canadian Space Agency astronaut and University of Calgary alumnus Robert Thirsk has become the first Canadian to receive an Honorary Doctor of Laws via live downlink from the International Space Station. Attending this special event were students enrolled in "Minds in motion" summer camp who had the opportunity to exchange with the astronaut in orbit.
