Grants awarded under the FAST funding initiative

Training the next generation of space workforce

The Canadian Space Agency's (CSA) Flights and Fieldwork for the Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST) funding initiative provides grants to enable students (college, undergraduate and graduate) and young researchers (post-doctoral fellows) to gain hands-on experience in space-like missions, and support the development of space science and technologies.

Investing in the Canadian space sector

Since 2010, the CSA has invested $38.8M to support 155 projects led by 29 Canadian post-secondary institutions through eight Announcements of Opportunity under its FAST funding initiative:
