Objectives
NASA's Mars Exploration Program has released a Research Announcement soliciting applications from the international community for its Returned Sample Science Participating Scientist (RSSPS) team. Individuals selected through this process will join the Mars 2020 mission science team, enhancing the value of the samples that are selected, characterized, and cached by the rover.
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) encourages qualified Canadian scientists to submit applications to NASA's Research Announcement.
NASA will conduct the technical peer review of applications and make the final selections. Canadian scientists selected will be invited to submit a proposal to the CSA to support their participation.
