If you get chosen to be the next Canadian astronaut, what will be the first thing you do?

Answer 1: For me the first thing I would do is I would take my parents out for a celebration dinner. Without them, I couldn’t be where I am today. They have been so supportive of me throughout my school, throughout my career and they’ve always believed in me.

Answer 2: I would definitely tell my wife Jess and my son Braydon about the great news and celebrate, but the second thing would be to go back to my old elementary school, Harrison Public School, and share the experience with them, tell them the great news.

Answer 3: The very first thing I’ll do is give my wife a big hug, and my six-month-old son Nicholas too. Their words of encouragement and their support have played a big part in helping me get through this long process.

Answer 4: It would be to pick up the phone and call my teachers, my mentors and my family who have helped support me through all these years.

Answer 5: I wanted to thank you for this question, and I wanted to just encourage you to continue to follow your dreams. Make sure you work hard, get involved in your community and don’t give up on your dreams. Make sure you work to the fullest extent, and you never know where you might end up. Thanks again.
